Saudi Arabia’s leaders made clear Friday they see no reason to increase oil production until customers demand it, apparently rebuffing President Bush amid soaring U.S. gasoline prices.

It was Bush’s second personal appeal this year to King Abdullah, head of the monarchy that rules this desert kingdom that is a longtime prime U.S. ally and home to the world’s largest oil reserves. But Saudi officials stuck to their position that they will only pump more oil into the system when asked to by buyers, something they say is not happening now, the president’s national security adviser told reporters.

Translation? The high prices suit us Saudis just fine!

So it’s not just the environmentalists who are holding the American economy hostage with their refusal to permit us to drill for more oil in America or their economically ignorant push for ethanol production.

Now it’s the Saudis.

Think 4 and a half dollars is a lot for a gallon or gas? The way things are going, what is stopping $6/gallon?

Weeks before announcing a $300-million, three-year advertising campaign to raise awareness about global warming, Al Gore was conducting a slide show for a group of investors in Monterey, Calif., touting companies such as Bloom Energy, Amryis , Mascoma and other firms that are not household names — yet.

These bio-fuel and green technology firms could be poised to take off, Gore told his audience.

“Here are just a few of the investments I personally think make sense,” he said during the March 1 presentation. “I have a stake in these so I’ll have a disclaimer there.”

Yes, Al Gore has a financial $take in promoting global warming.

And guess who subsidize$ these companies? Yes, you. Mr. and Mrs. American Taxpayer. Al Gore thanks you.

Of course you do. The media trumpeted Dan’s spelling error over and over. He was a laughing stock because he made an error in spelling a word.

Years later, this same media didn’t dwell so much on Al Gore’s more significant gaffes. In contrast to Quayle’s silly spelling error, Gore revealed ignorance of basic knowledge of the United States and its history.

He asks “who are these people” upon viewing paintings of the some of the Founders.

Which brings us to the presumptive Democrat nominee and Messiah of the Universe, Senator Barack Obama.

Obama posited — incorrectly — that Arabic translators deployed in Iraq are needed in Afghanistan — forgetting, momentarily, that Afghans don’t speak Arabic.

“We only have a certain number of them and if they are all in Iraq, then its harder for us to use them in Afghanistan,” Obama said.

The vast majority of military translators in both war zones are drawn from the local population.
Naturally they speak the local language. In Iraq, that’s Arabic or Kurdish. In Afghanistan, it’s any of a half dozen other languages — including Pashtu, Dari, and Farsi.

No sooner did Obama realize his mistake — and correct himself — but he immediately made another.

“We need agricultural specialists in Afghanistan, people who can help them develop other crops than heroin poppies, because the drug trade in Afghanistan is what is driving and financing these terrorist networks. So we need agricultural specialists,” he said.

So far, so good.

“But if we are sending them to Baghdad, they’re not in Afghanistan,” Obama said.

Iraq has many problems, but encouraging farmers to grow food instead of opium poppies isn’t one of them. In Iraq, oil fields not poppy fields are a major source of U.S. technical assistance.

And let’s not forget Obama’s assertion that the he visited 57 U.S. states with only one left! The audience laughed at his mistake, but Obama still didn’t catch it.

This man, a Harvard Law School graduate, wants to be the next President of the United States.

No longer the sane, centrist news magazine, Time long ago cast aside any pretense of objectivity. Instead, it fully embraced it’s role as the Democrat National Committee’s personal bitch.

Of course, Time is not alone in this, but it is revealing to note how brazenly open Time is in its shameless advocacy. It simply cares nothing about objectivity or any journalistic standards. The primary goal at Time is a (1) Democrat (2) in the White House. In order to achieve that goal, they will openly root for Hillary and Obama and cast doubt and disrespect (or simply ignore) any Republican. Is this is the “free press” that Americans deserve? How is this agenda-driven cheer leading any different than The Daily Worker or Pravda under the Soviet Union?

A new study suggesting a possible lull in manmade global warming has raised fears of a reduced urgency to battle climate change.

Back in 2007, when British writer Doris Lessing was told that she was the winner of the 2007 Nobel Prize in literature, her response was, “Oh Christ! … I couldn’t care less.”

In case you thought that Lessing wasn’t, ahem, grateful for the highest prize for literature, Lessing added:

“I’ve won all the prizes in Europe, every bloody one, so I’m delighted to win them all, the whole lot, OK?” Lessing said, making her way through the crowd. “It’s a royal flush.”

Quite the charmer, isn’t she?

Lessing recently told the BBC that winning the Nobel was a “bloody disaster.”

Listening to this sour fool talk, one would think the Nobel committee had given her gonorrhea.

So why is winning the Nobel a disaster?

Since her Nobel win she has been constantly in demand, she said.

“All I do is give interviews and spend time being photographed.”

Speaking about her writing, she said: “It has stopped, I don’t have any energy any more.

“This is why I keep telling anyone younger than me, don’t imagine you’ll have it forever.

“Use it while you’ve got it because it’ll go, it’s sliding away like water down a plughole.”

You know, like her manners.

Recall Lessing’s comments earlier this year on Barack Obama and the assumed American reaction to his pretense in the oval office: “He would probably not last long, a black man in the position of president. They would kill him,”

Well, that’s fur shure! Us ‘Mericans is jusa buncha racist rednecks who blast anyone who ain’t lilly fuckin’ white!

In October, she told a Spanish newspaper that the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks were “neither as terrible nor as extraordinary” as many people think.

Oh no. Not terrible nor extraordinary. Terrorists fly planes into skyscrapers every other month, so what’s the big deal?

Bitter, illogical and anti-American, this Doris Lessing. No wonder she won the Nobel.
