Welcome to our Brave New Marxism under President-elect Barack Obama. Sensing their freedom soon to diminish, particularly in the 2nd Amendment area, little wonder people are stocking up on ammo.
In suggesting that military service and volunteering be government mandated, Rep. Emanuel (D-IL, Thug) and President-elect Barack Obama might want to read Amendment XIII, specifically the part about “involuntary servitude.” That is, assuming that the liberals have not completely defecated on the U.S. Constitution.
The fact that the military has functioned fine with a volunteer force isn’t enough for liberals who, upon seeing something not completely equal, seek to impose their fickle wills on the rest of us. Somehow these suggestions come from people who normally profess hatred of the military and defense budgets.
Moreover, Obama wants a nation of community rabble-rousers in his proposal government mandated “volunteer” requirement on us American serfs.
Apparently Obama is already taking heat for this, as the “scrubbing” of his website will attest.
