Associated Press Would Really Like Liberal Justice Stevens to Retire

One would think that the Associated Press would have more respect for a Supreme Court Justice that rules their way 99% of the time. Well, maybe while Bush is in office, but as soon as Obama enters the White House, Justice John Paul Stevens is suddenly way too old and he has to retire!

From The Religion of Peace Files: Attack on Mumbai Ends

Mumbai terror rage ends after 60 hours, 195 dead By JENNY BARCHFIELD and RAMOLA TALWAR BADAM

Officials said they believe just 10 well-prepared gunmen were behind the attacks that brought the city of 18 million to its knees for three days.

“Nine were killed and one was captured,” Maharshta state Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh told reporters. “We are interrogating him.” Another official said the captured attacker is Pakistani and the gunmen were constantly in touch with a foreign country.

Al Qaida Lunatic: Overcome the Economic Crisis With Islam!

NOW he tells us!

Al-Qaida No. 2 to US: Overcome meltdown with Islam

Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader appeared in a new video posted Friday calling on Americans to embrace Islam to overcome the financial meltdown, which he said was a consequence of the Sept. 11 attacks and militant strikes in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ayman al-Zawahri, whose 80-minute recording touched on a number of subjects, also lashed out at Afghanistan’s government and said any U.S. gains in Iraq will be temporary.

Zawahri’s new recording came in the form of a question-and-answer session with an off-camera interviewer.

Appearing in a white turban and robe, Zawahri discussed the roots of the U.S. economic crisis. He said it was a repercussion of the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States, and that the crisis would continue “as long as the foolish American policy of wading in Muslim blood continues.”

“The American economy was afflicted by a downturn and loss of investor confidence in the market following the events of Sept. 11,” he said.

Actually, our economy recovered. The current crisis is unrelated to September 11th and due to the interference in our economy thanks to the Democrat Party.

“The modern economy has been destroyed by the strikes of the mujahedeen (in Iraq and Afghanistan) and usury,” he said, using the Arabic term for holy warriors.

Under Islamic Sharia law, usury, like drinking alcohol, is among the grand sins.

And then you wonder why Islamic countries are stuck in a time warp?

Murdering innocent people, on the other hand, is encouraged.

Zawahri then called on the American people to “embrace Islam to live a life free of greed, exploitation and forbidden wealth.”

Boy, someone has been reading Karl Marx. As for Islam, fuck you. I am not interested in converting people by force or murdering them.

Big Lies About America

Townhall: Big Lies that Poison Thanksgiving and Subvert Our Sense of Honor by Michael Medved

For some of Barack Obama’s most ardent supporters, his resounding victory represented the first sign of redemption for a wretched, guilty nation with a 400-year history of oppression.

Filmmaker Michael Moore, for instance, considered election night “a stunning, whopping landslide of hope in a time of deep despair. In a nation that was founded on genocide and then built on the backs of slaves, it was an unexpected moment, shocking in its simplicity.”

Actually, Mr. Moore’s summary of America’s origins is a wholly expected distortion, shocking in its mendacity.

Like so many other revered figures in the worlds of entertainment and academia, the portly provocateur thoughtlessly recycles the darkest assumptions about the generous nation that provides his privileged, prosperous life.

[...]

Big Lie No. 1, for instance, concerns the ubiquitous notion that the nation’s founders and builders followed a policy of “genocide” toward Native Americans.

In truth, disease caused 95% of the deaths that ravaged native populations of North America following European contact. Despite lurid (but historically baseless) claims of massive infection brought about by “smallpox blankets,” even the deadliest germs displayed no consciously hostile agenda.

In fact, intermarriage (including frequent intermarriage with African-Americans, slaves and free) and assimilation caused more Indian “losses” than all occasional massacres by governmental and irregular forces — incidents invariably condemned by federal authorities, never sponsored by them.

Lie No. 2 precisely anticipates Moore’s claim that America was “built on the backs of slaves,” suggesting that our wealth and prosperity came chiefly through the stolen labor of kidnapped Africans.

While slavery represented an undeniable horror in our nation’s early history, the slave population never exceeded 20% of the national total (amounting to 12% at the time of the Civil War). This means that at least 80% of the work force remained free laborers.

The claim that our forefathers built America “on the backs of slaves” rests on the idiotic idea that involuntary servitude proved vastly more productive than free labor. In fact, the states dominated by the slave economy counted as the poorest, least developed in the union — providing the North with crushing economic superiority that brought victory in the War Between the States.

Of more than 20 million Africans taken from their homes in chains, at most 3% ever made their way to the territory of the United States (or the British colonies preceding our nation). Americans played no part in establishing the once-universal institution of slavery but played a leading, outsize role in bringing about its abolition.

Islamic Militants Murder 125, Injure Hundreds in Mumbai

The Religion of Peace strikes again.

Gunmen kill at least 78 in attacks across Mumbai By RAMOLA TALWAR BADAM

Teams of gunmen stormed luxury hotels, a popular restaurant, hospitals and a crowded train station in coordinated attacks across India’s financial capital Wednesday night, killing at least 78 people and taking Westerners hostage, police said. A group of suspected Muslim militants claimed responsibility. An explosion followed by a raging fire struck one of the hotels, the landmark Taj Mahal, early Thursday.

Screams could be heard and enormous clouds of black smoke rose from the at the century-old edifice on Mumbai’s waterfront. Firefighters were spraying water at the blaze.

The attackers specifically targeted Britons and Americans, witnesses said. Fires burned and gunfire was heard for hours. Officials said at least 200 people were wounded.
[...]
An Indian media report said a previously unknown group calling itself the Deccan Mujahideen had claimed responsibility for the attacks in e-mails to several media outlets. There was no way to verify the claim.

President-elect Obama, through his spokeschick, released the following pussified statement:

The United States must continue to strengthen our partnerships with India and nations around the world to root out and destroy terrorist networks,” Obama’s chief national security spokesperson, Brooke Anderson, said in a statement.

Liberals Celebrate Ann Coulter’s Injury

According to the NY Post , tactless columnist and author Ann Coulter recently broke her jaw. Her jaw is subsequently wired closed.

True to form, liberals are openly celebrating, which is typical. Every time a conservative experiences personal problems or tragedy, liberals celebrate like cannibalistic savages. Such behavior merely underscores the fact that they do not believe what they claim to believe. They are not tolerant; they’re not compassionate; they’re not progressive. They care solely for power, and anyone in the way of that quest must be destroyed as soon as possible. Period.

Stalin would be proud.

Obama Displays Ignorance of All Kinds in Interview

The softball questions which ABC’s Barbara Walters threw to Obama were almost pathetic.

Barbara Walters Interviews The Messiah

Baba: How did you feel when you read about the three heads of the auto companies taking private planes to Washington? [Gee. I wonder how he'll answer this one? -- Ed.]

The Messiah: I thought maybe they’re a little tone deaf to what’s happening in America.

Speaking of tone deaf, never mind the fact that those CEOs were REQUIRED to take private planes, and that there are reasonable safety and business reasons to do so.

Obama later opines that some execs should go without bonuses.

Congress, specifically Democrats, created this mortgage nightmare which spirals out of control into a global crisis. Now this self-appointed Messiah is dictating who gets paid what?

HOW the KCUF do the bonuses of any CEO impact me in ANY WAY?

Spoken like a true Communist.

Thomas Sowell explains:

There is an old Russian fable, with different versions in other countries, about two poor peasants, Ivan and Boris. The only difference between them was that Boris had a goat and Ivan didn’t. One day, Ivan came upon a strange-looking lamp and, when he rubbed it, a genie appeared. She told him that she could grant him just one wish, but it could be anything in the world.

Ivan said, “I want Boris’ goat to die.”

Variations on this story in other countries suggest that this tells us something about human beings, not just Russians.

It may tell us something painful about many Americans today, when so many people are preoccupied with the pay of corporate CEOs. It is not that the corporate CEOs’ pay affects them so much. If every oil company executive in America agreed to work for nothing, that would not be enough to lower the price of a gallon of gasoline by a dime. If every General Motors executive agreed to work for nothing, that would not lower the price of a Cadillac or a Chevrolet by one percent.

Too many people are like Ivan, who wanted Boris’ goat to die.

Speaking of economic ignorance, another famous Democrat made economic problems much worse.

With Obama Safely Elected, Media Suddenly Surprised that Obama Has a Massive Ego

Reuters: Mr Co-President? Obama upstages Bush on economy By Jeff Mason

There may be only one U.S. president at a time, but you wouldn’t know it by watching Barack Obama this week.

The Democratic president-elect, who kept a low profile for three weeks after his White House win, has swung into action with a series of economic pronouncements and cabinet selections that have overshadowed President George W. Bush.

If financial markets are clamoring for more leadership, Obama got the message.

“There is a leadership vacuum. If Obama doesn’t fill it, more panic will result in (the) short run, and the problem will become greater by the time he officially takes office,” said Stephen Wayne, professor of government at Georgetown University.

“It is still Bush’s power to act now, but Obama’s obligation to tell jittery Americans what he plans to do.”

P.C. Plagued Canada Accomodates the Obese with Two Seats for Price of One

The Province (Canada): Disabled, obese allowed free extra plane seat — Top court refuses airlines’ appeal of ‘one-person, one-fare’ ruling

Canada’s two largest airlines must give disabled and morbidly obese passengers an extra free seat on domestic flights, beginning in January, after the Supreme Court refused yesterday to consider the carriers’ appeal of a federal order.

The Supreme Court, by convention, gave no reason for declining to intervene in the case.

The decision ended a six-year battle by disabled travellers to secure two seats for the price of one if they need inflight attendants. Obese people can also qualify if they are too large to fit in a single seat.

Air Canada and WestJet failed in their pitch for the court to consider a January 2008 decision from the Canadian Transportation Agency that gave them one year to implement new policies in the absence of being able to show that a “one-person, one-fare” structure would cause undue hardship.

“This means I’m equal now,” said Joanne Neubauer, a Victoria woman whose severe rheumatoid arthritis requires her to use a wheelchair. “I’m just so excited and happy that justice prevailed.”

Ah, the irony.

Joanne, not only are you unequal by virtue of this ruling, but you’re tone deaf as fuck too.

The Cult of Obama Renames Elementary School

Bizarre.
NY elementary school is renamed for Obama

It was only a matter of time. A New York school has been renamed in honor of President-elect Barack Obama.

The former Ludlum Elementary School, in Long Island’s Hempstead Union Free School District, was renamed at a school board meeting Thursday — effective immediately. The new name is the Barack Obama Elementary School.

School officials say most of the 440 students there are black or Hispanic, and Obama’s victory is a source of great pride.

With Obama Safely Elected, Talk Shows Suddenly Interested in Sarah Palin

Liberals are transparency personified.

Recall that Oprah Winfrey would only invite Sarah Palin on her overrated talk show after November 4th (“I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”) . Her Oprahness invited Barack Obama on her show not once, however, but twice.

Now that her ObaMessiah is safely in the White House (almost), guess who Oprah would now love to have as a guest on her overrated talk show?

Hopefully, Palin will tell Oprah to kcuf herself.

ABC Unfamiliar with Concept that Correlation Does Not Imply Causation

ABC spent broadcast time recently attempting to prove that the economic situation is leading some women to turn to prostitution in Nevada.  (Text of story here.)

We are introduced to a young woman named “Kimberly.” Poor Kimberly searched and searched for jobs. And she searched high and she searched low. North and South. East and West. Would you believe that she filled out “20-30 applications”? (And it was probably a fraction of that.) Wow, what a strenuous fuckin’ effort, Kimberly!

With all that job hunting yielding zero results, Kimberly settled on the next logical option: become a whore in Nevada (i.e., “independent contractor” according to the ugly-ass madam).  Before the turning of tricks may commence, however, first things first: Kimberly was required to get STD tests from a woman who asked “have you ever worked in a brothel before?” Predictably, the nervous ABC reporter made sure not to question Kimberly’s decision. You know, one man’s brothel is another man’s McDonald’s.

Meanwhile, ABC wanted its audience to think that it is the economy which led Kimberly and other would-be whores to turn to whoredom. (You know, as opposed to a total lack of scruples and morals, and a total lack of a supportive family and/or friends.)

Now for some logic 101: IF it’s true that the economy is so bad, women are forced to turn to prostitution for cash, would it not also follow that the customers of the brothels also have less money to spend on whores? And if those customers have less money to spend on whores, the customer pool for brothels would be shrinking. But if there are less pathetic men paying hos, why are more women being hired as hos?

Something does not add up. Don’t expect ABC to clarify anything, however.

To conclude this tangle of a story, the brothel madam in the ABC story had the audacity to do some moralizing. She claimed that in economic times, “women are the stronger of the group.” Well, certainly not in terms of morals.

Obama says long haul ahead

“There are no quick or easy fixes to this crisis, which has been many years in the making, and it’s likely to get worse before it gets better,” said Obama, who takes over from U.S. President George W. Bush on January 20.

The European Union achieved this massive subrogation of American sovereignty the way it usually does, by negotiation, gradual bureaucratic encroachment, and without asking the voters if they approve. What’s more, Bush appears to have gone down without a fight. [...] Will Obama govern from the left? He doesn’t have to. George W. Bush has done all the heavy lifting for him.

In the nearly eight years he has been in the White House, Bush never learned that friendliness toward political enemies actually makes them hate you more.

America’s Public Schools Keeping Students Ignorant

Public schools dominated by liberals either find America worthy of contempt or ignore her history altogether.

As for our students, how can you defend what you don’t know?

ISI: NEW STUDY FINDS AMERICANS, INCLUDING ELECTED OFFICIALS, EARN A FAILING GRADE WHEN TESTED ON AMERICAN HISTORY AND ECONOMICS

Third Intercollegiate Studies Institute Report on Civic Literacy Suggests There is an Epidemic of Historical, Political and Economic Ignorance in America; Colleges Must be Main Part of Cure
Washington, D.C., November 20, 2008 – Are most people, including college graduates, civically illiterate? Do elected officials know even less than most citizens about civic topics such as history, government, and economics? The answer is yes on both counts according to a new study by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI). More than 2,500 randomly selected Americans took ISI’s basic 33question test on civic literacy and more than 1,700 people failed, with the average score 49 percent, or an “F.” Elected officials scored even lower than the general public with an average score of 44 percent and only 0.8 percent (or 21) of all surveyed earned an “A.” Even more startling is the fact that over twice as many people know Paula Abdul was a judge on American Idol than know that the phrase “government of the
people, by the people, for the people” comes from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

Complete results from ISI’s third study on American civic literacy are being released

It’s Hard to Quit Cold-Turkey: Infantile Liberals Find New Excuse to Mock Sarah Palin

Apparently some people think that Thanksgiving turkeys come from the Turkey Fairy.

A note to Democrats and liberals: we got the message. You don’t like Sarah Palin and you really hate the conservative values which she defends. I’d bet a whole lot of money that does not like you or your Communism either. Too bad she is too classy to say so publicly.

In case you missed the memo or were otherwise comatose, Governor Sarah Palin ran with Senator John McCain for the U.S. Presidency. They lost that election on November 4th to Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Thus, unless your objective is to get closer to your inner sadist, even discussing Palin (atleast at this point) is bizarre at best.

Turkey jive: Palin-bashers strike again; Update: NYTimes editorial board decries “executions” By Michelle Malkin

Columnist Mark Steyn responds to this stupidity:

If it bleeds, it leads [Mark Steyn]

I didn’t think I could like Sarah Palin more than I do, but the nancy boys at MSNBC bleating all over the screen about the Great Turkey Carnage is hilarious. This is a great caption:

TURKEYS DIE AS GOVERNOR PALIN TAKES QUESTIONS FROM MEDIA

Or was it: MEDIA DIE AS GOVERNOR PALIN TAKES QUESTIONS FROM TURKEYS.

After she’s sworn in in 2013, I hope President Palin arranges for a ritual turkey slaughter to be going on behind her at every press conference, if only during David Shuster’s questions.

Tim Blair has a good round-up of reaction.

This media has no clue how petty and desperate they appear (and no clue generally). It’s laughably obvious that they have NOTHING to pin on Palin, so they must resort to associating her with turkeys being slaughtered a week before THANKSGIVING.

Worse of all: these same children screaming about turkeys being killed support the wholesale slaughter of unborn babies at any time and for any reason.
