Oprah Winfrey Invited Obama Twice; Refuses Palin

Sarah Palin’s worst enemies appear to be those who have appointed themselves to speak on behalf of women everywhere.

Sycophantic billionaire and talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, has invited Barack Obama to her show — twice.
As for Sarah Palin, well, Oprah is not as friendly.

Her Oprahness -- Bow Down

Her Oprahness

Drudge Report: BIG DILEMMA: OPRAH BALKS AT HOSTING SARAH PALIN; STAFF DIVIDED

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America — but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!

Oprah’s staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

“Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on,” an insider explains. “Oprah’s website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama.”

One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!

It is not clear if Oprah has softened her position after watching Palin’s historic convention speech.

Last year, Winfrey blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography.

Oprah and executive producer Sheri Salata, who has contributed thousands of dollars to Obama’s campaign, refused requests for comment.

Oprah quickly responded to Drudge denying the whole thing. Well, almost . . . :

TMZ: Oprah to Palin: I Can Pencil You In Later

Oprah has issued a statement to TMZ — she won’t put Sarah Palin on her show until after the election.

Here’s the statement: “The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

For the record, Barack Obama has been on “Oprah” twice — in January, 2005 and again in October, 2006 — before he announced his run for Prez.

Translation? “We didn’t talk about inviting Palin, but we’ll gladly invite Palin after it matters.

As for Barack Obama, the posterior polishing Oprah loved to invite him twice before his campaign began. Perhaps to coax him toward the Presidency?

Meanwhile, is Oprah neglecting her mother who is massively in debt? (Hmm. Isn’t Obama neglecting his half-brother who lives in a hut outside Nairobi? Two rich liberals who tell the world “how it should be” cannot seem to take care of their own?)

Luxury Clothing Store Suing Oprah’s Mother

A high-end clothing store in Brookfield, Wisconsin, is suing Oprah Winfrey’s mother for failing to pay her bill.

The civil complaint says Vernita Lee of Milwaukee owed Valentina nearly $156,000 for purchases and interest as of July 1 and has failed to make the monthly minimum payment of $2,000.

Store attorney Joseph Niebler Sr. says his client tried to resolve the matter with Lee before filing the lawsuit in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

The lawsuit says Lee told store officials she doesn’t think she owes the money. Reached by telephone, Lee declined to comment on the lawsuit.

Valentina co-owner Tony Chirchirillo says a $150,000 bill isn’t unusual for a client with a full calendar of social events.

A nonbinding mediation session is set for Sept. 16.

I wish to thank our female Messiah Oprah Winfrey for not inviting Sarah Palin to her show. Palin has already said before an audience of 37 million that she doesn’t care about the approval of media elites (you know, like Oprah). I would not want the v.p. nominee exposed to Ms. Winfrey’s bias, her fluffy relativism, and her cultish audience.

UPDATE: Oprah’s decision has consequences. Her fans respond (i.e., they’re absolutely slamming her) to the decision.

  1. Sarah Palin: Sincere but misinformed

I like Sarah Palin. She is sincere and full of energy. But she is woefully misinformed.

No sex education! Whoops! Teenager has a baby!
    Shouldn’t that be a clue?
Brother-in-law is harassing her sister. Palin pulls strings to get him fired. Is that going too far?
Doesn’t like some of the books in the local library. She asks the librarian if she would mind removing certain books. The librarian indicates she will not tolerate censorship. Palin gets her fired.

The common thread here is the self-appointed assumption that what I (Palin) decide is better for you than what you decide. Ohh, that smacks of totalitarianism! Too bad it hasn’t worked, doesn’t work, and won’t work in the future. Most amazing of all (and tragic) is that some people don’t like to think for themselves. They are mentally lazy, and oh-so willing to let others make these crucial decisions for them. You could see a few mindless drones waving flags and cheering her at the Republican Convention.

Reminds of the Stockholm syndrome. The captives after a while begin to idolize their kidnappers. “I’m going to restrict
what you can say and do, but trust me, this will be good for you!” Yeah! Pit-bull with lipstick!
    (And the crowd goes wild!)

    Christian Liberal:

    Thank you for writing.

Unfortunately, you are very misinformed and, atleast on these particular issues, very gullible.

    1. No, Palin did not have the trooper fired. He was suspended for a string of misconduct, including tasering an 11 year old.

“Mike Wooten got a 10-day suspension, later cut to five days, for drinking off-duty in a patrol car, using his state-issued Taser on his stepson, illegally shooting a moose on his wife’s permit and threatening his father-in-law.”

    2. No, Palin did not have any books banned. The “list” of “banned” books is an old list that has been on the internet for years. It is merely a list of books which have been banned at one point of history or another. Palin supposedly had such books banned in 1996. However, the list being disseminated by libs mentions the first of the Harry Potter books. Too bad the first Potter book was published in 1998.

“Palin Derangement Syndrome strikes again. This time it’s hysterical librarians and their readers on the Internet disseminating a bogus list of books Gov. Sarah Palin supposedly banned in 1996. Looks like some of these library people failed reading comprehension. Take a look at the list [...] and you’ll find books Gov. Palin supposedly tried to ban…that hadn’t even been published yet. Example: The Harry Potter books, the first of which wasn’t published until 1998.

The smear merchants who continue to circulate the list also failed to do a simple Google search, which would have showed them that the bogus Sarah Palin Banned Book List is almost an exact copy-and-paste reproduction of a generic list of “Books Banned at One Time or Another in the United States” that has been floating around the Internet for years.”

    3. If anyone is mentally lazy here, it appears to be you and others with similar opinions. You have happily accepted rumors, lies, fairy tales, fabrications, hallucinations, innuendo, distortions, invetions, etc. without any research despite the miracle of the internet and the ease with which you can conduct research. Dan Rather would be proud.

Admit that you simply dislike conservatives and get it over worth. Atleast then, I’d respect your honesty. You and others have no basis upon which to attack Palin, and with each attempt, you disgrace yourselves and your credibility. The public sees right through this mudslinging desperation. Yes, finally, liberals have a strong woman in a position of power and what do you all do? You smear her.
