Democrats Want You Miserable

If you doubt that Dems want to lower the morale of the American people as much as they can, just ask Vice-Presidential nominee Joe Biden, who did his best to ignore the positive and accentuate the negative at the Democrat misery-fest:

But today that American dream feels as if it’s slowly slipping away. I don’t need to tell you that. You feel it every single day in your own lives.

I’ve never seen a time when Washington has watched so many people get knocked down without doing anything to help them get back up. [Many of us prefer that government stay the fuck out of our lives. -- Ed.] Almost every night, I take the train home to Wilmington, sometimes very late. As I look out the window at the homes we pass, I can almost hear what they’re talking about at the kitchen table after they put the kids to bed.

Like millions of Americans, they’re asking questions as profound as they are ordinary. Questions they never thought they would have to ask:

* Should mom move in with us now that dad is gone?

* Fifty, sixty, seventy dollars to fill up the car?

* Winter’s coming. How we gonna pay the heating bills?

* Another year and no raise?

* Did you hear the company may be cutting our health care?

* Now, we owe more on the house than it’s worth. How are we going to send the kids to college?

* How are we gonna be able to retire?

That’s the America that George Bush has left us, and that’s the future John McCain will give us.  [No it's not. Liar. -- Ed.] These are not isolated discussions among families down on their luck. These are common stories among middle-class people who worked hard and played by the rules on the promise that their tomorrows would be better than their yesterdays.

That promise is the bedrock of America. It defines who we are as a people. And now it’s in jeopardy. I know it. You know it. But John McCain doesn’t get it.

Are you inspired yet?

And there you have the ultimate goal of Biden and the Dems: demoralize you, anger you, depress you, make you feel like your life is much worse than it is. Why? So the self-appointed saviors known as the Democrat Party can look like a reasonable alternative. Making promises is alot easier when things are going poorly. And if things aren’t going poorly, exaggerate and lie enough so that people begin to think they are.

Yes, the economy has not been doing as well as it could. Yes, fuel and food prices have gone up. Yes, many illiterate idiots homeowners have lost their homes or struggled to pay their mortgage.

Ask yourself why the economy is in the state it is in, and you should understand that Democrats have a lot of nerve to point fingers when THEY have engineered the $4 a gallon gas, THEY have engineered the higher food prices, and THEY have engineered the increases in foreclosures.

You couldn’t be more wrong if you tried.

Phil Gramm is the one man most responsible for the current foreclosure fiasco we have on our hands today. And he is, you guessed it, a Republican.

The Bush administration has practically erected a sign on the treasury saying “Welcome Halliburton! Take all you want!”

The price of gas here is still cheap compared to what it is in the rest of the world. But the recent rise is due largely to speculators. The oil market is a global market. The U.S. is a big piece of that, but far from the only piece, and far from being a big enough piece to have its way. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.

So nice of you to write.

Explain how Phil Gramm is responsible for the current foreclosure situation when:

    1. The Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 was signed by so-called President James Carter;
    2. Was reinforced and further supported by psychopath President Clinton.

Halliburton? Oh Gaia, I’ve never seen a topic more abused or repeated. (Well, no. Diversity and Bushitler get a lot of action from liberals.)

Even if I concede for a moment that Bush and Company “practically erected a sign on the treasury” for Halliburton, it seems that Halliburton did a miserable job of it. If you don’t believe me, check the article below from liberal website Slate:

In any event, mere mention of Halliburton as some kind of argument is not credible. It just reflects an anti-corporate stance which is usually without substance (i.e., find a new shtick because this one is old).

Yes, it is true that the price of gas here is cheap compared to what it is in the rest of the world. All of that is really nice to know if you’re playing Trivial Pursuit, but it says nothing about why it spiked in the USA.

The price of gasoline is very high in the USA because of long and short-term policies courtesy of the environmental movement and their supporters in the Democrat Party. For the last 30 years, oil producers have been prevented from drilling all over the USA, no new oil refineries build, no nuclear power, and — most recently — no drilling in ANWR. Meanwhile, demand for oil has skyrocketed thanks to India and China’s more capitalist economies.

Higher demand from 40% of the world’s population and stagnant supply will lead to a mass increase in prices.

In the midst of all this self-imposed stifling of oil production, the environmental movement has insisted on ethanol production (made of corn) which has caused food riots across the world (impacting the poor the most — I thought libs cared about the poor), raised the cost of food globally, and further dragged down our economy. All of this without any proof that CO2 is the cause of increased global temps and without helping the environment one iota.

And what is the Dem response to the mess they engineered? Investigate “Big Oil”!

If anyone should be investigated for economic ignorance of the first order, it should be the pompous fools who compose “Big Government,” specifically the self-righteous environmental movement, the Democrat party and their supporters.
