For all the sneering and arrogance directed at the National Enquirer, it was the National Enquirer that opened, investigated and stuck with John Edwards infidelity story.
Now the mainstream media suddenly wakes from its comatose state.
If Edwards had been a conservative or Republican, the media would have obsessively sought after this story. But Edwards was neither, and so the media protected him for 10+ months.
I wonder what Larry Craig and Mark Foley think about all this.
