Bush Strikes a Nerve

New York Treason: Bush Assails ‘Appeasement,’ Touching Off Storm By SHERYL GAY STOLBERG and JIM RUTENBERG

“Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” Mr. Bush said, in a speech otherwise devoted to spotlighting Israel’s friendship with the United States.

“We have an obligation to call this what it is: the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”

Do Bush’s comments remind you a certain American political party?

Notice that President Bush didn’t mention anyone by name, but Democrat whiners certainly took Bush’s comments very personally. Barack Obama fell for the bait like a fishie.

Guilt complex? Certainly. Insecurity? Definitely.

EVEN IF Bush was badmouthing Democrats overseas, and he was not, do not Democrats (Jimmy Carter) badmouth (Nancy Pelosi) Republicans (Bill Clinton) overseas (Jim McDermott) on a regular basis?
