No longer the sane, centrist news magazine, Time long ago cast aside any pretense of objectivity. Instead, it fully embraced it’s role as the Democrat National Committee’s personal bitch.
For some proof, a review of Time’s covers in 2007 and 2008 might show a pattern:
When it’s not being the subservient mouth piece of the DNC, Time makes sure to take shots at Republicans and the War on Terror:
Of course, Time is not alone in this, but it is revealing to note how brazenly open Time is in its shameless advocacy. It simply cares nothing about objectivity or any journalistic standards. The primary goal at Time is a (1) Democrat (2) in the White House. In order to achieve that goal, they will openly root for Hillary and Obama and cast doubt and disrespect (or simply ignore) any Republican. Is this is the “free press” that Americans deserve? How is this agenda-driven cheer leading any different than The Daily Worker or Pravda under the Soviet Union?

Oh come on.
First of all, do you really believe that any writing can be truly objective? A “free press” is not the same as an “objective press” “Free press” means that media outlets have the freedom to pursue any advocacy they wish.
Secondly, Time is no different that Pravda?? Have you ever read Pravda? There is a stark difference between Time and Pravda. Even shameless advocacy is a far cry than being an official mouthpiece of a ruling party or government institutions.
Time may be liberal, and the covers you cite are good evidence of their obvious slant, but there are plenty of conservative mainstream publications out there. Personally, I don’t read publications like Time and Newsweek because they are too shallow in their analysis. To criticize Time because (gasp!) their editors have opinions is just as shallow. If we have learned anything from post-modern philosophical discourse, it is that objectivity is an illusion at best when it comes to publications.
I don’t think covers matter much, but if the content inside is slanted, then you are right to call them on it.
On the other hand, one need look no further than the election results from Mississippi where an ancient Republican stronghold now has a Democrat for a representative in the House.
