The Great Timing Behind Obama’s Demonization of Oil Profits
Oil companies work to make a profit.
Senator Barack Obama thinks he and D.C. are entitled to that money.
Faithful to the Karl Marx School of Class Envy, Obama and the average liberal makes profits appear evil (except when they’re collecting handsome checks of their own). But while most on the left side of the aisle make Big Oil appear to be the new Great Satan, they never mention how much in TAXES those oil companies give back to the government. Or the fact that 20 of the 25 largest oil companies “had more employees at the end of last year than they did at the end of 2006.” In the midst of a lethargic economy, oil companies are HIRING people.
Obama’s timing is also fantastic. Remember that Obama’s proposal to rape impose a tax on oil profits occurs while gas prices remain high and a barrel of crude is around $120 USD. Instead of leaving oil companies alone to find MORE oil so as to raise supply and lower price, this jackass decides it’s time to penalize them for their success.

Instead of leaving oil companies alone to find MORE oil so as to raise supply…… and continue to rape the environment and destroy it all at the same time, thus empowering end users to follow suit…

Oil companies don’t pollute for the unmitigated joy of it, and the entire world economy is dependent on their product. I realize enviros would prefer if the global population was around 100K and we were still growing our food while reading by candlelight.
You know, kind of like you are doing right now when you use a keyboard, computer, electricity, and an internet connection: none of those things harm the environment!
