Governor Spitzer a Long Time Trick

Liberals use the word “hypocrisy” like Tourette’s patients shooting out inanities. Except the poor soul with the Tourette’s can’t help it.

Enter Eliot Spitzer. The ruthless Spitzer used the law as more of a sword and less of shield in his years as Attorney General of New York. Now better known as “Client-9,” he campaigned for New York governor “pledg[ing] to bring ethics reform.” (Don’t they all.) Reuters notes that “Spitzer prosecuted at least two prostitution rings as head of the state’s organized crime task force.”

The irony and hypocrisy is thick, ’tis not? I guess Spitzer was trying to eliminate the competition for his preferred whores. How nice of him.

(Hmmm. Eliminating competition. That’s an antitrust issue, right Counselor?)

The New York Post gives another account of Spitzer’s “trysten with Kristen.” (Sorry.)

In covering the story, ABC interviewed “famed Hollywood madam” and former jail bird Heidi Fliess (as the expert?). She appeared as if she was under the appearance of drugs. (She approves of a governor who “gets laid.” What a classy lady.)

Chris Christoff describes the ELF thusly:

[A] loosely organized movement of environmental extremists with a history of destroying property, often by arson, to intimidate and coerce communities, businesses and governments to abandoning activities that ELF considers harmful to the environment.

The idiots in the ELF are probably operating on the assumption that excessive CO2 is harmful to the environment. Assuming that’s true, doesn’t burning homes create more CO2?

Geraldine Ferraro on Obamamania

Clinton campaign finance committee member, former vice presidential candidate, and former Rep. Geraldine Ferraro, D-NY, told the Daily Breeze of Torrance, Ca., that, “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

Ferraro neglected to mention party affiliation.

Republican Bobby Jindal of Louisiana became the nation’s first Indian governor, and he was nearly ignored by the national media.

Or Michael Steele? He is black and Republican and the media coverage he received was revolting and racist.

Remember former NFL player Lynn Swann? He ran for governor in Pennsylvania as a Republican (but lost).

How did the media react to Condi Rice and Colin Powell? Their appointments as first ever black Secretaries of State (in Rice’s case, the first black female) didn’t get the coverage that Obama gets. Rice was smeared often for working under a Republican and being black (!).

Liberals nearly derailed Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s appointment to the Supreme Court.

So maybe the media adores Obama for being (half) black, but if he was Republican, you would not have heard of him.
